Search Meg Cypress 2019 Colorado Teacher of the Year CEA Member Since 2006 -- Welcome to the CEA is the largest union of educators in the state with more than 38,000 K-12 teachers, higher ed faculty, and education support professionals, as well as students preparing to become teachers, and retired educators. What We Do -- What Our Members are Saying… “I’m happy and thankful that more school systems across the country are recognizing the importance of diversity, not just giving lip service to it, but actually giving attention to it. So way to go teachers, educators and school districts for recognizing diversity.” “Being a member of the Association adds a lot of value to the teaching profession. Once I got engaged in the Association, I realized that I could have an impact beyond my classroom, which is good for all students. As a teacher, it’s important that you broaden your scope outside your silo and make a difference for more students by being a member of your Association.” “Let’s make sure we have fabulous education for all students, even our impoverished students, and let’s not just talk the talk, let’s walk the walk.” “For the last eight years, I have taught music to more than 700 students. In that time I have laughed with them and cried with them. I’ve been a mentor, a role model and a friend. Every day, they amaze me with the level of creativity, dedication and passion they bring to my class. Because of this and so much more, I still firmly believe that being a teacher is the most important thing I can do with my life.” CEA Leadership Team Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua.
